Obour Dental proudly continues the legacy of care established by Dr. James Rubino, who served the Berkeley Heights and New Providence communities for more than 31 years.

Dr. Obour and Dr. Rubino are working closely together to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. The same friendly staff remains in place, and all patient records continue to be securely maintained at the office. No action is required from patients during this transition.

A Letter From Dr. Rubino - Thank you for 31+ years of trust

When I graduated from dental school in 1991, I was lucky to fulfill my desire to own my own practice. It's been my privilege to serve the community of New Providence and Berkeley Heights for the past 31+ years.

Now, after much careful thought and consideration, I have made the bittersweet decision to retire from dental medicine. Patient trust and loyalty have meant a great deal to me and my highest priority has always been to ensure patients receive the best possible care. To that end, an exceptional dentist has been chosen to take over the practice, Dr. Franco Obour.

For Dr. Obour, dentistry is not just a career, but a blend of his passion for healthcare and his unwavering desire to help others. With a compassionate heart and commitment to excellence, he works tirelessly to positively impact the lives of his patients every day. Stress-free dentistry is not just Dr. Obour's motto, it's a philosophy that guides his practice. By creating a warm and welcoming environment, he ensures that every patient feels comfortable and supported throughout their dental journey.

Dr. Obour's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The College of New Jersey and a Master of Biomedical Science from Rutgers biomedical and Health Sciences. Dr. Obour spent a year as an associate scientist at Pfizer in Pearl River, NY prior to his departure for dental school. He completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where he honed his skills and gained valuable experience in all aspects of general dentistry. Dr Obour is a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry, New Jersey Dental Association and American Dental Association, where he continues to stay abreast of the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques.

Dr. Obour has treated patients all over New Jersey, providing exemplary care in the private practice setting.With his dedication to patient care and commitment to excellence, Dr. Obour looks forward to serving the dental needs of individuals and families in our community for years to come.

Dr. Obour and I will work closely together over the next several months to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. The same friendly staff will continue to be available and confidential dental records will remain at the office. At this time, no action is needed regarding records.
